Quale riforma della Chiesa?

What is reformatio and reform today? Without a doubt, in today's ecclesial scenario, it is understood as a continuous return to the origins, to Ecclesiae primitivae form, or as taking on an ever "new" form compared to one considered to be past. In both meanings, the basic idea is to bring back to its authentic form everything that over time has lost its impact and its primordial "purity". The reform affects theuniversity of faith and concerns the nature and mission of the entire Christian community, in its capacity to "inhabit" history, without being transformed by it. The authors of this volume, each in their own field of research, have offered their own contribution with scientificity and academic competence, sharing the idea that reform is not a simple adaptation to history, nor even a mere effort to "get in step with the times". Therefore, reforming action refers to that dynamism that belongs to the nature of the Church and finds in the presence of the Risen One its ontological condition of possibility.
