Declaration of Ethics

General Principles

«Fidei Communio» is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal evaluates the articles proposed on the basis of their content.

«Fidei Communio» is committed to upholding ethical behavior standards during every stage of the publication process. In order to do so, we abide by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)’s Best Practice Guidelines: https://publicationethics.org.

Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board

Editor-in-Chief are accountable for everything that is published in «Fidei Communio». This includes applying the double-blind peer review to assess the quality of the articles proposed for publication.

Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board should act in a fair and balanced way when carrying out their duties.

Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board should manage the submissions in a timely manner; treat all material as confidential and only distribute it to others for double-blind peer-reviewing purposes.

«Fidei Communio» provide guidance to authors on everything that is expected of them.

Editor-in-Chief’s and the Editorial Board collaborate with the Nerbini Publishing to avoid plagiarism and intellectual property violations.

Authors

Authors must ensure their article does not contain any libelous matter; does not violate any copyright or other intellectual property rights; does not violate any other right of any third party.

Authors should cite content from other sources appropriately to avoid plagiarism.

Every published work will state in a clear and comprehensive way the bibliographical and archival sources used in the research. In case some sections of the manuscript overlap with a published or a submitted content, this should be acknowledged and cited. Authors should earn the permission to reproduce any kind of content from third-party sources. 

Reviewers

Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of any material submitted during the double-blind peer-review process. The first review is by the the Editorial Board; once positively accepted, the second review is by subject specialists.

Reviewers should immediately inform the Editor-in-Chief of any real or potential conflicts of interest that could affect the impartiality of their reviews, and refuse to review where appropriate; behave fairly and impartially; review the material in a timely manner; assist in improving the quality of a submitted proposal or typescript by reviewing the material with care, consideration and objectivity.

Reviewers who knows he cannot carry out the reading in the required time, must promptly communicate it to the Editorial Board.

Reviewers should immediately inform the Editor-in-Chief of any suspected plagiarism.

As soon as Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board receive the peer-review schedule by the reviewers, they will promptly notify the author(s) of the outcome.

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board guarantee the authors extensive collaboration in providing explanations on the reasons for any non-acceptance.

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board protect the identity of authors and reviewers.

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board undertake not to disclose information on the articles proposed to anyone other than the the referees and the Nerbini Publishing.

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board undertake not to use and/or cite the contents of an article proposed, without the written consent of the author(s).

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board, and the Nerbini Publishing, guarantee that errors are corrected promptly and with due prominence.

Complaint Policy

Complaints should be sent to: direzione@fideicommunio.org

Complaints are managed on a case-by-case basis. If «Fidei Communio» receives a complaint about the copyright infringement or the violation of other intellectual property rights, or about material inaccuracies, libelous materials or otherwise unlawful materials in one of its publications, the Editor-in-Chief will investigate the complaint. The investigation procedures may include a request to the involved parties to give proof for their claims. The Editor-in-Chief and the Nerbini Publishing will decide in good faith whether to announce the retraction of the work or to take any other relevant measure. Any corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies will be published on the website: https://www.nerbiniscaffaleaperto.it/categoria/riviste/fidei-communio.
